Our social workers provide various consultation support activities centered on problems concerning all aspects of living that occur as a result of illness.
Consultation Content
- Recuperation and life after discharge from hospital
- Financial problems (e.g., payment of medical expenses and living expenses)
- Use of welfare services (e.g., nursing care insurance, independent support medical care and disabled person cards)
- Hospitalization to the Palliative Care Ward
Consultation Method
- We offer this service to those hospitalized in Toshima Hospital and those attending Toshima Hospital as an outpatient in principle
- If you have a matter you would like to discuss, please ask a member of staff of Toshima Hospital (attending physician or attending nurse).
- You are free to come directly to the Medical Consultation Office on the second floor. However, we may not be able to see you until a latter day. It is best if you reserve the consultation time and date when you will visit this office by telephone in advance as far as possible.
- We also handle telephone consultations.

Psychological Consultations
Our clinical psychologists provide assistance with psychological assessments and psychological meetings concerning your psychological worries and concerns with psychological consultations. We provide these consultations to all patients attending departments or hospitalized at Toshima Hospital and their families.
A request from your attending physician is necessary to have a consultation here. If you would like a psychological consultation, please first talk with your attending physician.

Nursing Consultations
Nursing Consultation Officer Information
- Nurses deal with the following consultations. This is so that patents hospitalized or attending Toshima Hospital can recuperate at home safely and with peace of mind.
- Preparation of the living environment after discharge from hospital
- Medical equipment introduction and handling
- Orders and purchases of nursing care supplies and hygiene materials
- Nursing care services
We support you so that you can continue to receive medical care, nursing and nursing care even after being discharged from hospital. We do this by closely cooperating with community medical facilities, nursing care homes and comprehensive support centers.
Consultation Method
Please come directly to the Community-based Medical Cooperation Office on the second floor during reception hours. If you would like some leeway in your consultation time, please make a reservation by telephone or over the counter in advance.
