1 Hospitalization Procedures

1. What to prepare for hospitalization

  • Please prepare the necessary items listed below and complete your admission procedure at Admission Desk 1.
  • If you are receiving welfare support, please contact your local welfare service office.

    • Please report any changes in your address, contact information, billing address, insurance status or guardians during hospitalization to Admissions Desk 1.

    2. What you will during hospitalization

    • Please see the list below for the items you will need during your hospitalization.
    • Please be sure to write your name on all your personal belongings.
    • You may purchase your daily necessities at the hospital kiosk.

    Daily necessitiesPlastic cups (one for drinking and another for use when brushing teeth), tissue paper, feminine products, detergent, plastic bags (several), laundry bag (two),pajamas (three or more), socks, underwear (three or more), daily footwear (three or more without laces), shoes for wearing inside hospital (footwear with soles or fall-prevention shoes but not slippers), paper diapers(if required)
    Personal hygiene itemsFace wash basin、tooth brush、tooth paste、body wash lotion、soap、shampoo、rinse、face towels、bath towels、electric shaver(with safety features)
    MedicationsAny currently prescribed medications (including your prescription handbook). Please give these items to the nurse for safekeeping when you are admitted.
    Spending moneyPlease prepare some spending money if you wish to purchase items from the hospital kiosk.

    3. Spending money

    • Please secure any spending money you bring with you on admission. If you are unable to do so, you or your family may request the hospital staff to hold your spending money (for purchasing items such as diapers, etc. at the hospital kiosk) for safekeeping.
    • Your money will be kept for you in your personal account.
    • An automated teller machine (ATM) is also available in the hospital for your use.
    • If you wish to have your spending money held for you, please ask at Spending Money Desk 1.

      Other hours, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, year-end, and New Year’s holidays
      This service is unavailable from December 29 to January 3.

    4. Shopping Card

    • In order to avoid theft or misplacing your money, we recommend the Shopping Card (a rechargeable IC card) for use when making phone calls from public telephones in the hospital, purchasing items from the kiosk on the first floor or using the coin laundry.
    • You may add money to your Shopping Card from your spending money account.
    • For more information on adding money to your Shopping Card, etc., please inquire at Spending Money Desk 1.

      Other hours, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, year-end, and New Year’s holidays
      This service is unavailable from December 29 to January 3.
