Digestive/General Surgery
We provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for cancers occurring of the digestive tract, including the esophagus, stomach, and large intestine. Our services cover the entire course of treatment-from diagnosis and postoperative anticancer drug therapy to organ-specific chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Also, we actively use endoscopes and laparoscopes to offer the most appropriate care at each stage of disease progression, with a strong focus on minimally invasive surgery.
For recurrent cancer that cannot be surgically removed, we provide palliative care to help improve or maintain quality of life (QOL). Laparoscopic surgery is also frequently used for inguinal hernias and acute appendicitis.
Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery
We provide multidisciplinary treatments for primary hepatic cancers, metastatic hepatic cancers, or hepato-biliary cancers by operative treatment such as hepatectomy. For pancreatic cancer, we offer a range of surgical options such as such as pancreaticoduodenectomy, distal pancreatectomy, and regional lymph node dissection. In addition to these approaches, postoperative chemotherapy is also used to help improve treatment outcomes.
We also perform surgeries for inguinal hernia, appendicitis, gallstones, and anal conditions such as hemorrhoid or anal fistula. Various repairing methods including laparoscopy are used to treat hernia. Laparoscopic surgery is applied whenever possible for conditions such as appendicitis and gallstones. Because only a small incision is made at the navel, this approach reduces postoperative pain and results in a less noticeable scar.
We have established an endoscopy clinic as an outpatient service, promoting endoscopic examinations of the upper and lower digestive tracts, as well as endoscopic surgery to completely remove cancers at stages suitable for this approach without requiring open surgery.
We also have extensive experience in colon polypectomy.
For patients who may feel hesitant about examination by a male physician, female physicians are also available to perform anal examinations.
