Emergency Outpatient Guide

For emergency outpatients

  1. Our hospital does not have interpreters for foreign languages. If possible, please come with a person who can speak Japanese.
  2. The emergency outpatient facility (Tokyo Metropolitan Bokutoh Hospital ER) handles medical treatment for emergency patients. This facility is not for general outpatient treatment. Treatment is mainly emergency treatment and as a general rule, medicine prescriptions will be for 1 day only.
  3. Doctors will do triage based on the patient's condition. Triage is used to decide treatment priority based on the severity and urgency of the patient’s condition. As a result of triage, patients with more severe and urgent conditions receive higher priority.
Please understand that the order of treatment is not based on the order of reception.
  4. Be sure to call before visiting the hospital. (Phone: 03-3633-6151)
  5. Nighttime and holidays are very crowded so there may be a long wait.
  6. If more specialized treatment is required, we may introduce you to another medical facility.
  7. Depending on the availability of beds at our hospital, you may be transferred to a different medical facility after admission.
