Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation

Our department provides medical rehabilitation for patients with impaired motor function. Physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists are on site to help hospitalized patients prevent bedridden states and facilitate their return home by improving their activities of daily living (ADLs). Physicians, therapists, nurses, and medical social workers collaborate to plan and implement rehabilitation programs. Physical therapy enhances motor function and walking ability to promote early mobilization and ambulation. Occupational therapy involves training upper limb and trunk function, activating higher brain functions, and practicing ADLs and household tasks. Speech therapy provides rehabilitation for patients with aphasia, articulation disorders, and higher brain dysfunction. Additionally, we offer specialized swallowing rehabilitation to support safe oral intake for patients with swallowing or feeding difficulties.
