Q.ジュニアレジデントとして、広尾病院で研修されましたが、当院での研修はどうでしたか?

A.救急では主体的に診察から診療までを行うことが出来、上級医からのフィードバックを貰うことが出来る環境でした。研修同期は8名でしたが、自主的に勉強会などを企画し、公私共に仲良く研修期間を過ごしました。広尾病院は島しょ医療を重点医療として担っているため、ヘリコプターで島しょに患者搬送をする機会もあり、責任感を持って診療に臨むことが出来ました。また選択期間にプログラムの連携施設である東京都立駒込病院の膠原病科で研修を行い、多くの膠原病診療を経験できました。

Q.ジュニアレジデントから引き続きシニアレジデント(専門臨床研修)も広尾病院で行われていますが、何に魅力を感じられ、決められましたか?

A.広尾病院は3次救急病院ですが、心血管病患者に関しては循環器内科が初療から診療を行うため、急性期診療を多く経験できること、また虚血性心疾患と不整脈の症例数が共に都内でトップクラスであることを主に魅力的と感じ広尾病院でのシニアレジデントを希望しました。

Q.シニアレジデント時代の研修はいかがでしたか?

A.切磋琢磨できる同期にも恵まれ、診療はもちろんのこと、数多くの研究会や学会での発表の機会を頂き、初めて海外学会で口述発表を行いました。また、日本不整脈学会カテーテルアブレーション関連秋季大会でのベストアブストラクト賞や第29回臨床不整脈研究会での最優秀演題賞を受賞することが出来ました。医師アカデミーの制度を利用しての東京都立墨東病院での救命救急センター研修や、東京ベイ浦安病院で弁膜症を勉強できたのも良い経験となりました。

Q.クリニカルフェロー期間に海外研修に行かれていましたが、制度としてどのように感じられましたか?

A.この制度を利用して、フランスのボルドー大学で1ヶ月、ニューヨークのマウントサイナイ医科大学で1ヶ月研修することが出来ました。実際にヨーロッパとアメリカで研修することが出来たと同時に、のちにマウントサイナイ医科大学へ留学するきっかけを作ることが出来ました。この制度がなければ留学は出来なかったと思いますので、私にとってこの制度は非常に重要なものでした。

Q.広尾病院に在籍されていた間、先生のされた研究や論文について教えていただけますか?

A.私が広尾病院に在院したのは医師9年目までですが、その中で英文原著論文10本を執筆することが出来ました。その中でも広尾病院が以前から発表していた、Marshall静脈を介した心房頻拍の高密度マッピングを介した回路の同定を検討した症例をまとめた論文は印象に残っています。拙い英文を辛抱強く添削してくれた、指導医の先生方のご指導の賜物と思っています。

Q.留学中のお話を聞かせてください。

A.私が留学したマウントサイナイ医科大学の循環器科はTop 20 cardiology hospitals in the worldに毎年ランクインしており、不整脈科長のVivek Reddy先生は世界的にも高明な先生です。マウントサイナイ医科大学では臨床症例数の数もさる事ながら、数多くの臨床試験が行われ、それと同時に大型の動物実験も行われています。私は留学中、臨床研究と動物実験を行っており、カテーテルの症例見学もしていました。新しい知見を発表する緊張感と責任感を感じることが出来、多数の論文も執筆する機会を得ることが出来ました。
