Endocrinology and Metabolism
Our department provides medical care for lifestyle-related diseases, including metabolic disorders such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hyperuricemia, as well as endocrine disorders involving the thyroid and adrenal glands.
In our inpatient diabetes education program, we maintain close communication between patients and healthcare staff to help patients understand their condition and improve their lifestyle habits.
Our multidisciplinary team― including doctors, certified diabetes nurse educators, dietitians, pharmacists, clinical laboratory technologists, physical therapists, and dental hygienists―works collaboratively to share information and provide guidance on diabetes control, nutrition, exercise, health management, and foot care.
During the education period, patients also have access to a fitness facility adjacent to the hospital, where they can participate in exercise programs.
